Feast at School

All the parents were invited and and we brought a dish to pass at the Westshore preschool Thanksgiving Feast. I am thankful for this great environment the boys are a part of at Westshore preschool where God is the center of instruction. We have seen so much growth in the boys in many different ways so far this year, Mrs Jensen is awesome!

Thanksgiving

This years Thanksgiving had a bit of a twist, originally we were going to have a small lunch with my dad and a big dinner at the Swanson's later in the day. Due to JR being in the hospital, Jarred at his dad's....the day got a little switched around but in the end, as always, it was very nice. Gram and Gramp Stearns were going to head to Detroit but that did not figure out either (see it was a really spur of the moment Thanksgiving!) but we were prepared none the less! Grandma and Grandpa Ohime along with the Stearns grandparents came over for a FEAST as the boys would call it and all went great, the boys enjoyed helping grandma get the dinner ready and it was nice to have their great-grandparents there as well!

Stearns Family Christmas Party

The last couple of years we have held the Stearns family Christmas at Grace Church. It has worked out very nicely, we order pizza and bring an easy dish to pass, the kids all get stockings filled with fun goodies and we enjoy the time together, it seems there is usually a new baby, this year its baby John...wonder who it will be next year?!

Christmas with the Houle's

Look at these goofy kids! Well Leah and I have been getting together for Christmas sense we were in middle school and then it changed to getting together at her mom's with Jarred making Christmas cookies and now look what we are doing....getting together to exchange gifts with all five of the kids, of course Jarred was at hockey so he is not in the photo shoot. Good Friendship never gets old, its so fun that the kids are going to daycare together, they are really getting to know eachother so well just like their mommies=) Thank goodness I got a new camera for Christmas, no more blurry pics.

Regional Silverstick Champions!

What a weekend! The team started off by loosing 2-1 in an ugly game. They picked it up after that shutting out two teams and beating two others including Flint in the championship game in double over time 3-2. I watched maybe 10 minutes of the last game because I was so nervous and finding myself in the bathroom most of the time! Well you can tell by the smile on the faces this was a great weekend of GRAHAA hockey...way to go boys!

Dinner at the Bennett's

We went over to the Bennetts the day after Christmas for dinner and a play date. The four boys had so much fun and played well together we barely heard a peep from them all night long, we stayed wayyyy past bedtime! Danielle made awesome food, as she always does, its like going out to a fancy restaurant for free=) The adults played a friendly game of catch phrase boys vs girls and the boys kicked our butt, there were plenty of laughs from the big and little kids!

Christmas Day

Following along our traditions, we spent the morning with Grandpa Terry and Lori opening gifts, eating monkey bread and playing with the new toys until around noon when we head for Papa Felt's for dinner with Gram and Gramp Felt....it was very cold and rainy on this day so much so our van could not make it up his road! We had to walk about .7 miles to Grandpa's house in the cold wet rain, but that did not damper our spirits!! On the way out Jarred and JR had to get out and push! We completed our day at the Swanson extended family gathering. Feeling so blessed this holiday season, my favorite of all was the Eve service, Brady danced to the songs, we lite candles and worshiped the birth of Jesus. These past two days have been so wonderful, I love this time of the year.

Christmas Morning

Santa ate his cookies and milk, all the boys sleep well in their new Christmas PJ's, the stockings and tree were packed by Santa and at 7:30a.m. the boys awoke! Colton jumped in our bed and said "I dont know if Santa came, I am a little nervous to look, its okay if he did not!"...Once they came down stairs and discovered Santa arrived their was lots of jumping up and down and screaming with excitement!
