Happy 14th birthday Day Jarred

Well I really can not believe this...Jarred will be 14 on Friday and we celebrated today, because he will be in Alaska on his birthday for his spring break adventure. Grandpa and Grandma Swanson and Terry and Lori came over along with one of Jarred's friends, Jake..we had tacos and then cake and ice cream. Jarred got a loot to take and spend in Alaska, a goalie helmet, and a shelf for all his trophies in his room. Looking at these pictures brings a few tears to my eyes, can he really be this old? :-( Look..no braces!

Pirate Party

Kayden Hellmann had an awesome birthday pirate party! His parents put on an amazing 5th birthday party for Kayden and his lucky little buddies:-) Molly Conrad really enjoyed the party as well...she is the sleeping baby! Brady and Colton had a blast at the party and have enjoyed being pirates all day long!

Field Trip

Colton and Brady went on a field trip with Lisa and the kids from daycare. They had so much fun at the Kendall's horse farm. They got to feed, pet, brush and even ride the horses. After the busy morning they went to McDonalds. What a great day for them.

Griffins Game

Well it seems I have forgotten my camera most all places this month, but we have been busy!
In our first weekend without Jarreds' hockey what did we do with our time???...we went to a hockey game, of course:-)
We went to the Griffins game last weekend and had SO much fun!!! We went out to dinner before hand with Jarred's hockey team families, we love them, they are all so great with our little boys (the only little ones of the bunch), many of the kids are my current students and it makes my job much more interesting, they are all good kids! Jarred and his friends had a great time and were able to get a Number 19, Justin Abdelkader bobble head (former Mona Shores student, has been called up to the red wings a couple of times, amazing!) After the game they went "downstairs" to meet with Justin and get a signature on the bobble head. It was Star Wars night, with 50 characters walking around dressed in star wars attire, Brady and Colton have never seen Star Wars so they called them robots, and wondered why in ALL the hockey games they have attended this one has robots??? Very strange they thought!! Great Family Night.

BOWLING

Jarred had his end of the year bowling party last weekend. He had the 2nd highest score on the team, who knew he could bowl too! Everyone on the team was given a new bowling ball courtesy of Coach Wilbur (he owns a company that makes bowling balls!). Brady and Colton tried out the sport for the first time and tons of FUN!! Looks like we have found another activity for family fun. The little bowling shoes were a very big hit:-)

Baking Cookies

Colton and Lilly had so much fun baking cookies! Colton had an appt. with Dr. Salisz, a urologist and afterwards we went to the Houle's for a special day with just Lilly and Colton. They made some very yummy chocolate chip cookies and most of all loved the beaters! Lilly wanted to know if when we came over if she could marry Colton!! She had forgotten about the marriage with all the baking excitement so when we left she reminded Leah "Mommy I forgot to marry Colton". Kids...they just say the darnedest things and we just Love them:-) Colton will be having a minor surgery on May 4th:-(
