First Hockey Tournament of the season

Well even though its a beautiful 80 degrees outside we started our 7 month hockey season! This weekend we were in Kalamazoo all weekend. The weekend was a blast for everyone. Jarred's team is so amazing with Colton and Brady. They dressed them up in hockey equipment, used them to meet girls in the hotel, wrestled in the room and hallways and played in the hot tub and pool. Colton and Brady are big chief fans and had so much fun cheering on their big brother's team this weekend. Jarred's friend Jared Karnitz stayed with us this weekend and helped entertain the boys too. Their team played tough all weekend and are so much better than September of last year. Although the hockey season is long and consists of much time on the road away from home our hockey family was amazing this weekend and we look forward to the next 7 months on the road and on the ice! As I type this we are waiting for our final game sitting in the hotel room and Brady, Colton, Jared and Jarred are having some poking contest on who can poke who the most with the cookies crumbs on the ground, yes this sounds odd, it is.....but they are all laughing for some reason these things are funny to boys no matter if they are 2 or 13! Now a wrestling match consisting of "hockey fighting" is breaking out! Brady and Colton decided they need to ask Santa for their very own big boy hockey sticks and skate for Christmas! The volleyball girls in the hotel left these balloons, Brady and Colton appreciated it!

GO SAILORS!

Jarred's biggest fan would like to run out on the field with him! Brady anxiously awaits the players to come off the field. He likes to cheer "GO SAILORS" "GO SHORES" "GO PLAYERS" "GO JARRED"! Jarred won his first game today with a victory of 32-0! His team played well and tough Jarred had a good game and a great time.

Jarred at ND

IS that a Wolverine fan I see on ND campus??? Yep, Jarred and JR headed back to South Bend for the ND vs. U of M football game. Despite the downpoor during the entire 2nd half they had a great time, of course JR might have enjoyed the day a bit more than Jarred seeing the Irish won! Jarred is one lucky kid at 13 to attend a big 10 football fame between the two teams that rival the walls of our house~ this year was JR's year to brag. Next year Jarred will probably get the rights back but for now...GO IRISH!! I thought maybe Jarred would come back cheering for the blue and green but no such luck, touchdown Jesus didnt ispire him to become an Irish fan...

Go Irish

The Brainards invited us down for the opening game of ND football. JR and I had a blast it was my first time at the stadium, which is awesome but the campus was the most impressive sight.

Labor Day Weekend

What a perfect Labor Day Weekend. Sunday we went to the beach with the Houle, Conrad, Brainard and Hellmann families. We watched Laura the elephant take a bath in Lake Mi (very big hit with the kids!), went on a few boat rides and enjoyed the 80 plus degree weather. On Monday we went out on the boat again with the Whitakers, met up with Shannan and her boys and again had a great time enjoying the perfect end of summer weather. Its back to school in the morning so my blogging posts will probably slow down!
