Samuelson Annivesary Party

Aunt Linda and Uncle Jim enjoyed a 25th anniversary Celebration at Fredrick Meijer Gardens this weekend. It was a wonderful time and they are much deserving of such a celebration, I am so glad we could be a part of making this special day for this special couple and my Aunt who has been instrumental in my life.

Roosevelt Park Day Parade

Posted by Picasa

Roosevelt Park Day Parade was a total hit with all the kids. They went home with enough candy to last them to Halloween, well actually most of it will probably be given away as awards in our classrooms! The Houle, Conrad, Anderson and Swanson kids all had a great time!

Today we had lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Stearns. Last week our visit with them included Grandpa running through the sprinklers with the boys so on our way Brady and Colton said "we want to play with Grandpa Stearns" I would say this is pretty cool seeing he is well into his 80's! Dont we all hope we can run threw the sprinklers with our great grandkids at his age. We went to big apple bagel for lunch, everyone there knows the Stearns' I think they go there everyday so Brady and Colton, of course, showed off, made a mess and ate a lot!

Feeding the Ducks

Today we went to Lake Harbor Park and while Jarred ran the dunes, beach, park and woods conditioning with his football team we fed the over 50 ducks that were swimming under the bridge. Colton and Brady had so much fun as you can see by the smiles! Brady thought it would be a good idea to eat some of the old saltine crackers himself and the ducks came running right to his feet to pick up the crumbs.

Pier Marquette

Cullen never turns down food! I did buy Brady his own "blue" fish swim float but he seems to really like Lilly's pink one instead!

Beach Bums

Colton is a real boater he sits in his seat all by himself and likes to go fast! Its one event where he shows more bravery than Brady! Brady likes to go fast until we actually are going then he wants to sit on my lap and slow down. Today we met up with the Houle's Elise, Lilly, Colton, Brady, Brayton and Cullen all played well and had so much fun building sand castles, swimming and of course...eating!

Boating

It was a beautiful West Michigan Day! We took advantage of the great weather with a trip on the boat with. The Conrad family joined us for some family fun. The boys got to see the Lake Express Ferry just before we attempted the big Lake with our little boat, way to rough for us so we turned around and went to park in the arms off the pier.

WHIPPI DIP

Such a little event can be BIG fun! We went to Whippi Dip for an ice cream cone and check out all the fun the boys had. The tire swing was a real big hit. Colton and Brady LOVE to go as high as they can on the swing, you can tell by the big smiles on the swing.

SUPER GLUE!

We had our first major Boo-Boo! Colton was dancing around the living room when he fell and smacked his head on the coffee table. An urgent care visit took care of it quickly with super glue! The cut was just small enough to use the glue instead of stiches. Colton was soooooooo tough and brave through the whole ordeal he never cried and while we were in the urgent care the only sound he made was to tell the Dr. Thank-You the staff was so impressed and I was shocked!

Uncle John's Birthday Party

Our Uncle John was able to celebrate his one year "birthday" yesterday. The date marks one year since he had his bone marrow transplant because he suffered from Lukemia. The whole family met in Saginaw to surprise John with a picnic in celebration of his brave journey over the last couple of years. It has been a very bumpy road for him and his family. My Aunt has been an amazing patient loving wife watching over John all these long months. We thank GOD we were able to have this celebration for my Uncle John and his family yesterday and pray we will again be celebrating this special date next summer as well!
