We spent Friday at the Vandermolen's Beach. Colton and Brady were at daycare so lucky Jarred got to hang out with the Dad's and bigger kids, they used the skim and surf boards, the waves were good...the sun didnt shine but it was in the 80's. Jarred might be a big teenager now but he is still a little kid at heart check out the sand burial!!

MUSIC GROUP JULY 2008

We are so lucky to have Kathy Hellmann hold a toddler music class for all the kids. They have so much fun as you see Brady is a little more into the whole dancing thing than Colton and the moms totally embarrass themselves as well, its so cute:-)

Baseball 2008

Our little athlete is not so little any more! Still #43 but changing every day! Jarred has been very busy this summer with all his sports. There have been many days where he has hockey in the morning, football in the afternoon and baseball in the evenings. Some days they over lap and he has to choose where to go. He now weighs more than I do and only 2 more inches and he will also be taller than me...WOW. His baseball team didnt light up the score board this year but he had lots of fun playing with his friends. The fact they struggled to score was probably a good lesson as football went undefeated last season and his hockey team won the state title. Hockey still holds the gold in his heart but football is a close 2nd and he has been working hard all summer long on both. I am pretty certain the circumference of his biceps and triceps are now thicker than JR's! We sure do LOVE watching his sports.

Fun at Duck Lake....Enjoying every minute of our Michigan summer!
Posted by Picasa
This afternoon we went to Duck Lake State Park. Its ideal for the little kiddos. Brooks, Danika, Jamie, Ava, Colton, Brady, and Jarred swam around for hours. The little ones only floated away a couple of times! Danika is fearless in the water. Brady got a time out at the beach for throwing rocks and sticks (well pretty much trees)....he didnt seem to mind one bit, the time out or the throwing of the rocks and sticks, no one was hurt so all is well. It was great to catch up with Stacy and Corinn and all the kids played very well.

Tonight we went to the Hellmann's for a cook out and meet up with our former Principal Bill, we had a great time. The kids ran around and climbed all over the play set. They enjoyed the swing, playing basketball and following Jarred around. It was great to see and catch up with Bill. The kids played awesome together I do not think there was one argument among them the entire night! Kayden really thought Jarred was cool and Jarred had fun playing big brother to 7 little kids...

Summer Cottage 08

We spent four days up near Cadillac at a cottage on the lake. It was a mansion in comparison to where we stayed last year! The cottage was directly on the lake and the boys enjoyed the days on the beach, Jarred liked to paddle around the lake in the paddle boat. We are going to make it a tradition that every summer we go somewhere in Michigan to enjoy our beautiful beaches and a few days in a cottage. It is what summer memories should be made of and I hope the boys look back and can enjoy the memories as much as I know I will!
